Lower Realms 03:11
Come to be devoid of Our freedom in nature Blindness and power Consume all of of our dignity And only some will stand To defend the rights of man Watch as they fall— All the values that we built our world on A tale that won't forgive its every curse Repeated in our insanity, Shedding virtues with time But I found a new world, A world underneath us They'll call to the surface And lure us on all our desires The truth won't save the tribe Bury where it matters not Wait anymore And you'll be weakened to the point of madness, But come to love this brighter state of mind, A chance for us to be something else, You'll become what we all need to be We've brought upon ourselves A world of complacency With standards unrealized And nothing to rectify Well if this is what we are, We'll trample till we retire On all our civility Like ashes beneath our feet We can't understand we're limited But where are our feelings When we're under the earth With new kinds of beings Who wish to protect Our individuality And keep the peace? We will be the strong We will be forever Consciously evolving Down within these realms, A place for reinvention To trust what we've upheld, Reveling in ardor

I never lied to please you I was opened just as much as I could be But you distorted all my deepest beliefs, You loved your own self-deceit, defamed me I never changed my ethics You would think that after what you put me through, I would have been guided to peace, Abandoned the necessary Means to reveal all the world’s complexities I’ve felt the weight of a thousand sins For which only I atone 道無き道は希望を下さない [The directionless path does not give me hope] 善の道を消す時が来た [The time to erase the virtuous path has come] 世界には痛ましい真相が多い [The world is filled with painful truths] そんな事をお前は知りたくない [Such things you wish not to know]

Solace 04:24
Stars give in, Take this shape, Find her spirit, And let us unite No time to waste here When everything's yours Follow my lead And run its course Dreaming while living Not limiting us More ways to find Unflustered love Each moment Contoured with The features Of a dream How did we Forget this isn't real From the first leap we took? Our feelings are energized And never overlooked Why should we exist Outside our sleep If we don't know Which life is real Or which we dream? Stay here. It's perfect-- The world I designed Moments of grandeur, Changing lives Failing to restrain As if we'll explode, Our love will be consoled How did we Forget this isn't real From the first leap we took? Our feelings are energized And never overlooked We focus on ourselves We saw fit to believe The solace of our love Would be kept underneath All my dreams

The demons sang to me Before your waking A song that lingers on and on Kept changing keys, but sang For years to make me A martyr of the arcane What will I Become if not A catalyst For this stagnant world? You joined me in my prime, Played to those demons We put our strengths in harmony, But when my faith grew deep, Your lie grew pale with The unknown end impending Your serpentine Facade became The blackened soul I wish I knew you for Soon you’ll understand me I’m the joke that fights on Years pass, but I won’t fade I’m that lingering song A righteous king of me Your trust let me be Took to the solace of our fate The poet’s words stand tall Your curse provoked him The realms have now awakened You’re too scared Of being feared, And now you’ll judge The way they all do パタラの水に侵していた人は罰から脱出できない [The people who invade the waters of Patala cannot escape punishment] See me ever stronger, Now more gods to consume Chafing your unbound skin, Sucking life from what’s left Do you understand me? I’m the truth that fights on Years pass but I won’t wane I’m that lingering flame You can’t wish the best for us When you left us at the peak You can’t wish the best for us When you still can’t take ownership of your faults

In a thousand other realities, I am facing up to my nightmares, Confronting the world’s darkest secrets With profound purpose But time never feels that important I roll with the landslide of life Here the dust never reaches my lungs, Never marks my soul I’ve wandered past all the misery I’m blind and I can’t change that fact When the doors open up for me, I’ll be strayed from serenity When I have no experience, Then there’s nothing of meaning for me to acquire But that false sense of meaning is a toxin Taken in with promises of light It doesn’t matter if I live in my chaos It shall be part of the order They always thought they could read me, But when the stage falls in place I’m a challenge to the pillars of heaven My soul’s escaped I want to ignore my destiny There’s more to life than following a path I’ll stay a realist ‘Cause I can’t find another way And the light never speaks to me, So I’ll strive, I’ll aspire in the dark When the doors open up for me, I’ll be strayed from serenity When I have no experience, Then there’s nothing of meaning for me to acquire Now I’m shrouded in mystery Even with my affinity I fought through all the calls of void In my mind, without any soul When the doors open up for me, I’ll be strayed from serenity When I have no experience, Then there’s nothing of meaning for me In the sea of development, I will swim to the deepest parts, And I won’t sink until I feel Like I’ve taken the beating of life, Like I’ve taken the most out of life

Son of sons Now confess All your sins Unto us Always 13 steps below the square, I feel like a child stuck in a grown-up’s mind, Given far too much for my own good, A victim of compassion nurtured from the womb Why? I don’t know who I am I fell in line with the herd, But my mind keeps me in check My ethics don’t support the unethical I won’t let your number game define me It’s a progressive and repressive theory That underestimates the cynical No It can’t be done like this My thoughts are all my own And not for you to wash out While they pray this is the end of it all, I feel the need to stay here forever Give me time to see the realms and Know which one I will survive in There’s potential in us we can’t See no matter how hard we try Dès le début d'enfance, [From the beginning of your life,] Il n’y avait pas un chance [There was no chance] À viens dans la lumière [To come into the light] Quel raison particulière [What a special reason] Tu as été amené sur cette terre, [You were brought to this earth,] Mais regarde, [But look,] Tu n'es pas condamné [You are not condemned] We try to reach up For ambrosia There are easy ways up, But you’ll fall down harder We try to reach up For the nectar There are easy ways up, But you’ll fall down faster Should I blame myself for how I’ve grown? It’s too late to say I should have known Now I spend my time obsessing on regrets And apologies that will never be heard outside my head Son of sons Now confess All your sins Unto us Challenge your Primal state Sever your Inner core Be the one We believe Take upon Destiny The path is now Set for you Something you Can’t undo Mind is now abstract and post-conventional Finds far more lies in reality And far more truths in fantasy Happiness withers as the senses appear You Gave me a reason to feel From nothing, consciousness born Embraced the burden of pain Time won’t wait for me to turn this Prison into nectar, so I’ll Sacrifice my life to claim my Mind and body as my own Son of sons Now confess All your sins Unto us Challenge your Primal state Sever your Inner core Be the one We believe Take upon Destiny The path is now Set for you Something you Can’t undo Settle your mind

Lonely Day 03:27
Such a lonely day And it's mine The most loneliest day of my life Such a lonely day Should be banned It's a day that I can't stand The most loneliest day of my life The most loneliest day of my life Such a lonely day Shouldn't exist It's a day that Ill never miss Such a lonely day And it's mine The most loneliest day of my life And if you go, I wanna go with you And if you die, I wanna die with you Take your hand and walk away The most loneliest day of my life The most loneliest day of my life The most loneliest day of my life Such a lonely day And it's mine It's a day that I'm glad I survived

about

Patala's first album "Trials of Humanity" delves into the nature and mystique of the sacred realms and the powerful lifeforms that inhabit them. At the same time, it observes the various hypocrisies of human relations and society on the surface-world and professes the need for a new domain where the human race can start over. Musically, "Trials of Humanity" covers a wide array of influences, both domestic and international, including Japanese gothic metal bands like Yousei Teikoku, Imperial Circus Dead Decadence, and Unlucky Morpheus, European melodic death metal outfits such as Insomnium and Children of Bodom, and closer-to-home artists like Between the Buried and Me and Astronoid.
